McCook has a relatively well known golf course called Heritage Hills. Golfing's a pretty big deal in Nebraska for some reason and it seems to be more of an everyman's sport than what it is on the coasts. Most likely due to costs not being excessively prohibitive in the Midwest due to our land being much cheaper in general.
